PVC Resin
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is the most widely used plastic and is an attractive alternative to traditional materials such as glass, metal, wood, and other plastic materials because of its versatility, durability and cost competitiveness. PVC production is expected to exceed 40 million tons by 2016.
A highly versatile polymer, PVC is compatiable with many additives. It can be plasticized to make it flexible for use in flooring, cables, etc. or unplasticized (PVC-U) for use in Pipes, window frames, etc.
There are many uses for PVC. As a rigid plastic, it is used as vinyl siding, magnetic stripe cards, window profile, pipes and conduit fixtures. PVC is commonly used as the insulation on electric wires.
